Slavery Policy

Slavery and human trafficking statement

We, Veramed Limited, are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

Our business

We are a Clinical Research Organisation and a Certified B Corp in the pharmaceutical sector.

Our Head Office is in London, United Kingdom, but we operate in the US, the EU, Ukraine and India.

Further information about our business can be found by following this link Our Business.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains include electronic data capture systems, software development and maintenance, clinical trial materials, office supplies and facilities management.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We continuously review and update all our policies.

Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

We understand that the following areas give rise to the highest modern slavery risks: cleaning and security services which are outsourced to contractors and the use of remote workers or contractors in countries where individual rights are not as well protected as in the United Kingdom.

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we ensure that our suppliers provide details of their compliance and monitoring processes in respect of both anti-slavery and human trafficking and ensure that the work documents and payment details reflect the identity of those who are working for us in all jurisdictions.

We also have whistleblowing procedures in place to enable individuals to raise concerns which are then investigated.

Supplier adherence to our values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking and require our supply chain and contractors comply with our values.

Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking

We monitor the effectiveness of our policies by considering:

• The number or percentage of suppliers and sub-contractors that have been vetted for ethical labour practices.

• The number and type of issues identified on screening suppliers and subcontractors.

• The number of reported breaches in the past year.

• The instances of remedial action being needed.

Training

We will ensure that those staff members directly involved in areas where modern slavery is a high risk, for example, third party cleaning contractors or where remote workers are based in less well protected jurisdictions, are aware of their obligations to identify and report suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.
